The invention relates to a method for cutting laminated glass and an apparatus with which the method of the invention can be carried out. For the cutting of laminated glass, various methods and devices are known in the prior art, in which connection, for example, to AT 403 688 B, EP 0 708 741 B, AT 403 908 B, EP 1 475 356 A and EP 1 044 930 A can be referenced.
Basically, the cutting (parts) of laminated glass is worked so that both glass panes of the laminated glass are scratched and then the cutting lines are opened, for example, by arching, buckling or bending of the glass sheets, followed by the existing between the glass panes composite film (polyvinyl butyral film, PVB- Foil) is separated.
Known techniques are straightforward for making blanks of laminated glass whose edges are straight and include right angles.
When blanks of laminated glass were to be made with special shapes, for example blanks in which at least two edges are not perpendicular to each other and / or an edge is bent, it was necessary to manually cut special shapes and reposition the laminated glass at least once.
In the prior art, when making special shapes bounded by straight edges, with at least one edge oriented obliquely, that is, not perpendicular to the adjacent edge, the laminated glass was manually positioned under a laser indicating the cut line and thereafter the laminated glass (FIG. automatically) cut.
When blanks of laminated glass were to be made into special shapes with sheets, they were made by hand by means of stencils and hand cutters by first cutting the top and then the bottom glass sheet.
The invention has for its object to provide a method and apparatus for its implementation, in which when cutting the bearing plate (large format of the laminated glass) and special shapes can be cut, no longer manually repositioned or cut with a template.
This object is achieved according to the invention with a method having the features of claim 1 or with a device which has the features of independent, directed to the device claim.
Preferred embodiments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.
In the method according to the invention, it is provided that a bridge (e.g., a positioning bridge) holds the laminated glass (e.g., laminated safety glass, " VSG ") to the cutting table and couples with the laminated glass cutter. Thereafter, the laminated glass cutter and the positioning bridge, which holds the glass, are put into combined movements, which as a result results in a movement of the laminated glass cutter relative to the laminated glass to be divided, which corresponds to the special shape to be produced. With special forms with bends, it is provided that the cutting wheel is guided tangentially to the cut both above and below. This means that the disc with the positioning bridge is moved in both directions and at the same time the laminated glass cutter, so that as a result the desired special shape with a straight edge or edge in the form of a sheet can be produced.

The blanks designated 1 in Fig. 1 are common blanks in which all edges of the blanks are straight and meet each other at right angles in all corners. The blank 2 in Fig. 1 is a so-called special form, since there includes an edge with the edges lying at its ends another angle (once a sharp, even an obtuse angle) as a right angle.
Also, the blank 3 in Fig. 1 is a special form, since an edge is not straight but curved.

The structure of laminated glass 5 (laminated safety glass, " VSG ") schematically shown in Fig. 2 shows that laminated glass 5 has two glass sheets 6, 7 joined together by a plastic film 8, in particular a polyvinyl butyral film.

A device 10 suitable for carrying out the method according to the invention, shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, comprises a cutting table 11 with a horizontal support for laminated glass 5, in which a laminated glass cutter 13 reciprocates (arrow 16) on a bridge 12 fixed relative to the cutting table 11. is movable. The positioning bridge 20 is guided on the edges of the cutting table 11 and can be adjusted by means of a drive, not shown, transversely to its longitudinal extension (arrow 23) along the cutting table 11. This positioning bridge 20 may for example have a structure which is described in EP 1 475 356 A1 for the conveyor 100 shown there in FIG. Advantages of the method and the invention. Devices are dependent on the embodiment of the invention in the following:
Special forms 2, 3, 4 are immediately cut when cutting the bearing plate (large-sized laminated glass 5) and do not need to be positioned by hand again or cut with a template.
The invention allows for special shapes with at least one " leaning " Edge (e.g., special form 2 of Fig. 1). Likewise, the method according to the invention and the device allow special shapes to be produced which have at least one bent edge, for example the special shapes 3 and 4 of FIG. 1.
A further advantage of the invention is that existing installations and cutting tables can be retrofitted for the production of blanks made of laminated glass (VSG) so that they can carry out the method according to the invention.
